DAKA Radio Controlled 4 axis Hydraulic Arm for
placing and holding ceramic shrouds for the Continuous
Caster at Bethlehem Steel (now ISG). One of three units.
The arm is about 15 feet
long.
Rocket Disassembly
Machine
DAKA produced these
machines for the US Army to disassemble white
phosphorous tipped and high explosive shoulder launched
rockets. The machines ran on pneumatic logic so as not
to make any sparks. The operation was automated for
safety so the warhead, fuze and igniter would be
unscrewed and placed onto a conveyor
unattended.
